I enjoy life to the full in my retirement - still being active and useful indulging my passions for being outdoors in the natural world walking my dog.

Hello, I'm Lin and my shop Wings of Art is a new venture inspired by a love of butterflies which my father gifted to me as a very young child.Everytime I see a butterfly many happy memories of being with him and of the shared excitement of spotting and identifying them floods back!
He gave me long ago a Victorian textbook full of British butterflies and it's from where the butterflies in my artwork escaped!I copied them from the original colour plates and collaged them alongside a mash- up of various plants and flowers which only grow in my vivid imagination!I thought it would be fun to give them new life and hopefully inspire others to love butterflies.I hope he would approve!
Sadly so many of the butterflies in this book are rare and now extinct.I feel so strongly that all the wonderful work undertaken by Butterfly Conservation should be widely supported and shared, particularly for future generations to appreciate.
I hope when you look at my collages that you will consider supporting the work of Butterfly Conservation and finding out more about it.I also wish that you enjoy browsing amongst the butterflies in my shop and that they may also evoke some happy memories of your own.
