Full description
A truly unique handmade vase, individually turned from beautiful Banksia nut sat on a natural Yew wood base with a lovely lacewood neck.
The slim Yew wood base has a lovely warm colour and natural character, while the lacewood neck shows off its beautiful fine grain. The lower section has been enhanced with vibrant blue and green resin, filling the natural Banksia detail and creating a wonderful contrast with the warm tones of the timber.
Every piece of wood is different, so the grain, figuring and natural features make this vase completely one of a kind. The resin adds a splash of colour without hiding the natural beauty of the wood.
The vase has been carefully turned, shaped and finished by hand to bring out the character of the timber and give it a smooth, tactile finish.
A beautiful decorative piece for a shelf, sideboard or display cabinet, and a lovely gift for anyone who appreciates natural wood and handmade craftsmanship.
