Hand Turned Yew Wood Vase – Natural Edge Features – Unique Handmade Wooden Vase

A one-of-a-kind hand turned vase made from beautiful yew wood, handmade in my workshop in Lancashire. This piece has been turned to make the most of the natural character within the timber. The natural features, voids and colouring have been left visible and simply stabilised, rather than filled or hidden. The result is a completely unique piece with lovely warm pink and golden tones running through the wood. The inside follows the natural character of the timber, including a small natural opening which adds to the individuality of the piece. Each piece of yew is different, and this vase is a great example of how the natural features of the wood can become part of the finished design. Dimensions: Height: approximately 16cm Widest point: approximately 9cm Opening: approximately 5cm Depth: approximately 14cm Finished and polished to bring out the natural colour and grain of the yew. This is a decorative vase and is not intended to hold water. Every RGH Woodturning piece is individually hand turned, signed and dated, making each one completely unique.
