Full description
A premium digital reproduction of an original design by Jamie Poole.
Individually hand-embellished by the artist.
This piece explores the striking intersection of the 'Wave' and 'Wing' within the Nene Valley. It tracks the intense focus of a kingfisher on a moss-hung branch above the heavy, shifting silt of a winter stream. The artwork is uniquely framed by a handwritten textual border of naturalist poetry: "The water moves with heavy, silver weight... Before the azure bolt descends again."
The Process
The vibrant background layers, textures, and typography are composed using digital brushes in Adobe Fresco. This stage is captured as an archival pigment print on premium Tintoretto Gesso paper, chosen for its heavy, felt-marked material truth. The graphic line work of the kingfisher is carved in the artist's garden studio. Finally, each multiple is reactivated by hand with colored pencils.
Authentication: Signed and titled in graphite pencil.
Presentation: Fitted to a premium 21.5 cm white gallery border backing board and packed securely in a protective glassine envelope.
