A beautifully unusual Regency-inspired tartan hair adornment, combining rich Scottish tartan with elegant trailing ribbons and a vintage-style jewel centre.
This pretty tartan ruffle has been created as a decorative hair accessory, inspired by the elaborate ribbons, textile embellishments and richly decorated hairstyles of the Regency period.
The Black Watch tartan ruffle is gathered into a floral, rosette-like shape and finished at the centre with an antique gold-tone cabochon containing a deep emerald green jewel.
Long trailing ribbons in coordinating dark green and Black Watch tartan add movement and create an elegant elongated silhouette when worn in the hair.
The piece is attached to a small hair clip at the back, making it easy to secure into an updo, bun or swept-back Regency hairstyle.
I think it would look particularly lovely worn towards the side or back of the head, with the ribbons allowed to fall naturally through the hairstyle.
A wonderful accessory for a Regency event, Jane Austen Festival, Bridgerton-inspired outfit, Scottish-themed occasion, historical event, wedding or simply for adding a touch of romantic period style to an outfit.
