She Who Carries the Code An original, one of a kind mixed media artwork exploring ancestry, feminine lineage, identity and the mysterious blueprint we carry within us. At the centre of the piece, a sacred feminine figure emerges from layers of richly patterned paper, colour and symbolic imagery. A DNA helix winds through her body, representing the ancestral code carried within us and the stories, patterns, strengths and mysteries passed through generations. The artwork has been created through a painstaking process of hand cutting, layering and raising individual elements to create a richly dimensional, mandala like form that expands outward from the central figure. Intricate patterns, botanical imagery, flowers and geometric forms intertwine around her, creating a sense of growth, transformation and interconnectedness. Each layer sits proud of the surface, creating genuine physical depth and allowing the artwork to shift subtly as light moves across it. The central figure becomes both woman and archetype.
