Full description

A king scallop shell, handpainted with the magical Fly Argaric Fungi popping through the grass on a clear evening.

Bring a little Fairytale magic to any space.

Would make a thoughtful gift for mushroom lovers or any fan of the whimsical.

Measuring 11cm wide and 10cm in height, and painted using daler rowney acrylic paints.

It has had several coats of a clear gloss varnish and has dark green satin ribbon attached for hanging.

All my shells have been steralised before painting.

The mini eisel is only for display purposes but can be purchased separately.

Your shell will arrive nicely wrapped and in a large letter box.

I use Royal Mail 2nd class postage for this item.

To care for your shell, clean with damp cloth, please don't use abrasive cleaning cloths.

I was lucky to get a bag of these from a friend after the scallops were eaten. They are from the south east scotland in East Lothian. I have really enjoyed painting these, made a nice change from canvass and paper. I painted them mainly in florals but got the idea to do some different coloured mushrooms and had to paint the famous red and white Fly Argaric.
