Full description
A mixed media piece that has been made using black electrical tape, and a black fine liner pen.
A unique line study based on Edinburgh building sites and the structures and lines they create. This piece of Art is striking to look at, and appears Industrial but also has a Gothic feel.
Perfect as a bold Art piece for your home.
Would make a interesting and unique gift.
I made this by collaging two separate studies together onto black card. It is secured in a cardboard mount which is an off white colour. Measuring 8.5inches high and 12inches wide, designed for your own choice of Picture frame.
The sketches were made using black electrical tape, I cut it into varying widths and lengths then used them to draw the structures. A black fine liner pen was then used to give a variation on line.
I made these as part of a college project while studying Art in Edinburgh back in 2013, it was based on all the lines and shapes that different building sites create, there was so many going on in Edinburgh at the time and I got alot of inspiration from them.
I came across a few pieces in sketchbooks from this project and had to do somthing with them.
I cut out parts of one image and collaged with an other onto a piece of black card, creating a new scene.
I use Royal Mail 2nd class postage for this item which is included in its price. I will email when I post it out.
It will be packaged in a large do not bend envelope with a hard cardboard backing, then wrapped thinly in packing plastic to keep things waterproof.
It will also be marked with fragile and do not bend stickers.
This work was designed for a glass fronted picture frame.
There are textures in this piece with the layers of electrical tape used in creating the image.
