If Yuletide/Christmas season leaves you feeling stressed and craving a sense of calm, rest and reflection, then my limited Yuletide collection is for you! As I get older I find that, for me, Winter has become a time to slow down and simply recharge while awaiting the return of Spring. I wanted to create a collection to compliment this soothing atmosphere of quiet and comfort. I've chosen a soft muted Scandinavian palette for the collection which includes storm cloud blue, light mustard, dove grey, rich berry and pistachio green. Embrace hygge (cosy) living with my tactile hanging reindeer tree ornament. Each clay piece is entirely unique with a mix of impressions and hand carved detail using traditional Nordic stylized repeating patterns reflecting nature. The clay impressions are made using items personal to my family - my stars and little flower impressions use some of my mother's vintage earrings, the leaves are impressed from my grandmother's crochet needles! As with all my pieces, I work with a slow and patient mindfulness.
