The pink marbling moves from soft, cloudy areas into much brighter sweeps of pink and magenta, with each side showing a different part of the pattern. Small stars and constellation details are scattered around the body, while the circular lid features a larger constellation design surrounded by individual stars. I make each jewellery box individually from a natural, water-based mineral material with a hard, stone-like finish. The exterior is finished by hand through several stages and polished with plant-based wax for a soft satin sheen. Small air bubbles, visible surface texture, colour variations and slight differences in size or shape are natural features of the handmade process. The marbled colour placement develops each time differently, so no two jewellery boxes will ever look exactly alike.
