This classical oval shaped pendant is given a twist by featuring unusual Sieber agate smoothly bezel set in sterling silver and finished off with a simple loop bail. Sieber agate isn't actually an agate, it is slag glass from an ancient copper smelting site in Germany that was active about 600 years ago. Impurities from the ore and traces of copper cause the blue and grey colour palette and it's industrial heritage causes the swirly pattern and little air bubbles/ dimples on the surface. It's unusual and sure to be a talking point. Measures approx 40mm (inc bail) by 23mm wide, comes with an 18inch sterling silver chain but the bail could easily take a leather or cotton cord if you wanted to swap it over. Comes in a gift box.
