I live in one of the most beautiful cities in the world and have been making images inspired by the buildings and views that I cycle through daily. I use and combine various printing techniques and also print onto a variety of papers. In this piece I have printed on a light piece of white paper which has then been collaged over a William Morris traditional pattern. The decorative design shows through around the ink of the print and is part hidden. Hertford College Bridge, commonly called the Bridge of Sighs (because of supposed similarity to that in Venice), joins two parts of Hertford College over New College Lane. Viewed in this case from Catte Street.
