This is a length of bunting made from an entire vintage Blackberry Farm book - Naughty George. There are 16 whole page flags measuring 11cm x 14cm hung 3cm apart, giving a total length of 280cm (includes 30cm each end for tying. The images hang to the front and the story to the back. As the whole book is used the story can still be read. The pages are edged in a light green machine stitching which gives strength and definition to the paper. I have used a mid green cotton binding and these greens coordinate well with the vintage colours of the illustrations. A perfect gift for a vintage inspired bedroom/nursery or a lover of traditional tales, books and illustration.

Listening to stories was a huge part of my childhood and the Blackberry Farm books were always a favourite - especially when staying with my Grandmother. They were written by Jane Pilgrim and were first produced in the 1950's. The pictures are fabulous and bring back memories of a very different kind of childhood. By turning this much loved book into bunting I have given a new lease of life to some wonderful illustrations. The bunting shows signs of age and use - marks, creases and folds.
