Oh, the twinset! I love a good twinset! two outfits in one! This is a 'modern' twist (well, it was modern in the 1980's) on the 1940's and 50's staple garment of every well-dressed woman's closet, but it has been 'updated' by the use of (my favorite!) the batwing sleeve. Batwings hide a multitude of flesh, if required, but are stylish and smart too. Also it is an ‘edge to edge’ cardigan, no buttons or button holes to worry about! The under sweater’s use of short, capped sleeves, knitted as part of the ‘body’ would ensure that it feels very comfortable under those batwings. Also this means no excess seams or lines to show under the smooth line of the batwing shoulder. The use of contrasting colours for the edgings also brings this best-loved choice to (new) life. The pattern is sized for a 81-97cm (32-38 inch) bust. A genuine paper pattern from the 1980's, this is not a PDF. Vintage designs and ideas are making a comeback these days and many retro patterns are still fashionable, just like this one I do not carry wool in my shop, neither do I have any connections to anyone who could provide the wool.
