Small winter handbag or bucket bag button and loop brown mustard check wool

This lovely woollen remnant was just large enough to make a pair of my little bucket bags. It is woven in a beautiful autumn/winter colour scheme of mustard and brown checks. These simple bucket bags have a button and loop fastening, as well as a magnetic snap on the inside facing. I think of them as a pocket with handles! Great little winter handbags, they make lovely winter birthday gifts, Christmas presents, or as a treat for yourself. The wool has been stitched onto canvas to strengthen it, but it is still a soft little bag. It has a pair of handles, each 33 cm long. The width measures 24cm and the length is 24 cm. The ends are boxed to make it more roomy. It is lined with a 1980's cream and brown floral cotton print by Linda Beard and is finished off inside with a facing for a neat finish. It fastens with a magnetic clasp, as well as a leather button and loop closure, and it is finished off with my own embroidered name tag. Spot clean with a little warm water and mild detergent on a cloth. For more serious stuff, please dry clean. I like to reuse. Your bag will be posted out in clean, recycled wrapping from my hoard, and posted out as Royal Mail 2nd class. Inspiration: A friend donated this to me. She had been given it by a lady who had collected a lifetime of fabrics in her loft! I love its unusual mustard check colour, and it goes so well with the brown button fastening.
