Full description
A dolly bag or drawstring bag upcycled from a pretty vintage embroidery. It features a young girl in a crinoline tending her flowers on the front, and the back is black and white striped ticking. This lovely old piece of vintage table linen was damaged in the middle, but I could just squeeze out a set if bags. This little duffle bag is the first one in my collection. It would make a nice storage bag for keeping vintage lace, hankies or haberdashery in, but it would also make a lovely vintage wedding gift, or a thank you present for a bridesmaid.
The bag measures 36 cm tall, and is 68 cm around the circular base. The base has been strengthened with canvas, but it is still a soft bag
It is lined with a floral vintage cotton and the back is made from black and white striped ticking. There are a few decorative buttons on the front.
It closes with 2 dusty blue braid pulls, each ending in a flower head.
There is an embroidered channel for the braid to pull through, and it is finished off with my own embroidered name tag.
This is quite a delicate bag, so please wash on a cool short setting, and leave to dry naturally.
Your bag will be wrapped in clean, recycled packaging from my hoard, and sent as RM 2nd class.
Inspiration: This old embroidered table cloth was such a great summer find at the car boot. After some TLC it came alive, and there were enough good sections to make a set of bags. I love the young girl in her huge skirt, wandering in her romantic garden!
