Full description
A set of four geometric origami decorations made from red-themed Japanese Yuzen Washi paper with gold highlights.
Each decoration is made with six squares of paper, hand-folded into units which interlock without need of glue, a technique known as modular origami. The finished result is approximately 8 cm in height and 5 - 8 cm in width. The decorations are strung with fine gold thread for hanging.
This elegant design comes from the late Robert E. Neale. Its many faces and angles means it catches the light whichever way it turns. The decorations can be hung on a Christmas tree or simply suspended from hazel or willow branches in a tall vase, for a minimalist look.
Japanese Washi paper is made with natural plant fibres such as mulberry. It is known for its long-lasting strength and versatility. Yuzen Washi is carefully hand-coloured and dyed by artisans using screen printing techniques to create vibrant textile-themed patterns.
This set of four decorations comes in an assortment of designs, all primarily red-based, with gold dyes. They are shipped within 3 days of ordering via Royal Mail Tracked 48, in a 10 cm cube-shaped box. The decorations are wrapped in biobased industrially compostable and recyclable film to protect them from water damage while in transit.
