Full description
Tranquil and otherworldly, a fae maiden slumbers peacefully in a rolling landscape, rich in pastel tones. An eerily beautiful winged stag watches over her, connected by a golden thread, while celestial-style clouds roll by. This surrealist piece is haunting yet tranquil, rich in texture and metallics.
::::::
Colour scheme: pastel shades of blue, lilac, pink, green and coral, with accents of gold and navy blue.
::::::
Stylistic references include:
Gustav Klimt (use of burnished, metallic gold), slumbering figure and patterned swathes of cloth.
Alma W. Thomas (swirling, repeated dashes of colour, providing contours and movement)
Hilma Af Klint (pastel colour scheme)
Naomi Vona - (patchwork style collaged clothes)
Celestial art
Folk art
Folkloric creatures and cryptids
Anthropomorphic art
::::::
Materials:
Watercolour, Acrylic Paint, coloured pencils, Posca pens, mirror chrome pens, hand-painted collage papers.
The piece uses 300gsm watercolour paper, and is sold -unframed-, in protective packaging. The frame is photographed as a display suggestion only.

Framing:
This painting is A4 and, if you want to frame it when it arrives, it suits either an A4 frame without a mount (as pictured), or an A3 frame with an A4 mount. You can go as fancy as you like, but if you'd like a strong budget option, they have very reasonably priced ones in Asda and Poundland :)
