STAR GAZING is an original piece of coastal art, created from naturally sea-weathered driftwood that has been smoothed by the sea into flowing grain patterns, giving it wonderful fluid texture and character.
This highly individual driftwood sculpture mounted on a waxed reclaimed wooden base, has been lovingly handmade and individually crafted by Steve Hutchins of Grove House Art.
Collected from the beaches of South Devon, the driftwood has been carefully cleaned, air-dried and assembled by hand by Steve Hutchins of Grove House Art, preserving the natural beauty without altering their unique organic form.
The sculpture is mounted by a hidden fixed metal rod, allowing it to be displayed and viewed from different angles and perspectives to suit your room or mood.
Perfect as a statement piece for a coffee table, sideboard, shelf or mantelpiece, it complements coastal, contemporary, rustic and minimalist interiors.
Living in beautiful South Devon, I spend many hours walking our local beaches, inspired by nature and the sound, movement and immense energy of the sea.
