Full description
I love creating this type of picture because I get to play with so many textures. The sky is a photograph of a cloudy sunset which I have printed to fabric. I've then added a couple of fabric cliffs before layering lots of slivers of old curtain samples to create texture and movement for the ocean. The layers are then free motion wiggles in place to secure and the final part is to add some quirky text printed to handmade paper. I chose the quote because it made me feel like sitting on a beach with a glass of wine, just staring out to sea! The piece is then mounted using a double antique white mount with an aperture size of 13cm. The frame is white wood and measures 28.5cm. The perfect gift for seaside lovers or those who love textile art
