Drawing inspiration from vintage sewing patterns, mid-century design, Regency novels and nostalgic yearnings, I create things that remind us we can live an analogue life: one with a favourite book, a cup of tea and a cosy corner. An analogue life in which getting dressed up to go out dancing without filming it for social media is more fun. An analogue life in which it is an acceptable use of time to sit and watch that old black and white film whilst creating something by hand.
I love creating items that will hopefully become a beloved piece and be passed down as a family heirloom.

I am selling my acrylic yarn stash, and some of my polyester fabrics as although I personally don't want to use these fibres anymore, I know that many people do, to create beautiful, useful items that will have a long and happy life.

Full description
This PDF pattern was inspired by my own vintage 1970s roller boots that I wore out. Ideal to stitch for a special card or hoop art gift for a roller disco diva, roller derby aficionado or a fan of flying on wheels!
A confident stitcher will enjoy stitching whole, three quarter, quarter stitches and lots of back stitch detail that this pattern features to create this nostalgic image.
The finished boot measures approximately 6 cm high and 5 cm wide when completed, and is stitched onto 14 count Aida. A 14 cm square of the fabric will fit nicely into a 10cm /4" embroidery hoop.
The PDF comprises of an introductory cover page that lists the supplies you will need; a colour 'block' pattern with key, a black and white symbols pattern with key, extra notes on the stitches and a thread sorter page.
The chart uses Madeira threads as that is what I use, however, you could substitute these for your own particular favourite brand. You will need yellow, red, dark blue, pale blue, grey, white and black thread.
This pattern is for personal use only and not to be reproduced for any other purpose than your own stitching. If you do make items to sell using this pattern, please respect my rights as a designer and credit me as the designer of this work.
