Full description
This large size tote bag and matching purse have been made using a medium weight cotton fabric reclaimed from a fabulous pair of vintage curtains. It's a Sanderson print from the 1970s called Naomi, featuring blue and pink flowers on a caramel colour background and is in good condition. All other components are new, however if you would rather have an item made completely of new materials, please check out my other items because I have plenty of those too!
The bag is faced inside at the top with the main fabric for a professional finish and then lined with green and white spotted quilting cotton. The long handles measure about 59cm so could be used over the shoulder. I've made them about 3.5cm wide and lightly padded for extra comfort, topstitched along the edges and down the centre. Inside the bag I have inserted a keyring loop so that the purse can be clipped inside safely. The corners of the bag have been squared off so that the base is boxed to make it roomy inside. No stiffening so it can be folded down to pack in your suitcase. All neatly topstitched with ivory thread. Measures approx 47cm across the top and x 33cm down the side seams.
The included purse is made with the same fabric, which I backed with fusible fleece for padding, with three lines of wave stitch machined across each side. Like the tote bag, it is lined with green and white spot cotton fabric. It has a beige zip across the top and a key ring loop complete with lobster clasp at the side. It measures 13cm x 9cm and could hold coins, cards, or other small items.
This item is ready to ship. It will be wrapped in new tissue paper while I will use clean recycled packaging on the outside whenever possible.
