Full description
Pretty necklace in Spring greens, featuring a pendant of five genuine Emerald rondelles set between two more Emeralds, highlighted with tiny 1.8mm gold vermeil spacers.
The pendant is three quarters of an inch long (2cm)'
The Emerald beads vary in size from 2x3mm-3x5mm, and are natural and untreated.
They are opaque and vary in hue from a pale sage green to a darker forest green.
The necklace continues with rows of five 4mm frosted green Aventurine separated with gold vermeil beads.
The green Aventurine beads are a lovely sage green colour of varying hues, set off by the shine of gold vermeil.
Gold vermeil is sterling silver that has been plated with 18k gold.
The necklace fastens with a gold Tibetan style toggle clasp that is nickel and lead free.
Emerald is the birthstone for May and the Zodiac sign of Taurus and the stone for the 20th wedding anniversary.
This green member of the Beryl family, prized for thousands of years, is believed to help the wearer foresee the future, reveal truth and protect against evil spells.
Green Aventurine, like most green stones, is thought to bring inner peace, tranquility and enhance self-esteem.
It is sometimes called the the Stone of Luck, or the Gambler's stone, as it is believed that carrying a piece of Aventurine will attract wealth and good fortune.
Handmade in my home workshop here in beautiful Devon in the UK, this would make a lovely gift for those born in May, a 20th anniversary present, or as a treat for yourself.
This necklace measures approximately 18 inches (46cm), excluding the pendant.
Your necklace will be wrapped in tissue and presented in an organza gift bag.
