Full description
This striking, sparkly necklace has a centrepiece of six 8mm Crackle Quartz beads separated with sparkly 6mm Swarovski® flower discs in the colours 'rose', 'iris' and 'light amethyst' highlighted with tiny 1.8mm sterling silver spacers.
To either side are alternating 6mm frosted and smooth Sage Amethyst beads graduating to 3.5mm smooth Amethyst.
The necklace fastens with a Tibetan silver toggle clasp in the shape of a rose, which is nickel and lead free.
Crackle Quartz is clear Quartz, also called Rock Crystal, that has been heat-treated then water-cooled to produce a network of tiny fractures.
The result is a beautifully sparkly stone that looks like crushed ice.
In ancient times it was believed that clear quartz was imbued with powers.
They were used to ward off black magic, perform healing, and connect with spirits.
The original crystal balls, used for divination, were made of Rock Crystal.
Amethyst is purple quartz, the birthstone for Aquarius and February and the stone for the 6th and 17th wedding anniversaries.
Sage Amethyst is a type of Amethyst, sometimes called 'banded', 'chevron' or 'dog tooth' Amethyst, that is purple quartz mixed with swirls of white quartz giving beautiful cloudy patterns that have also led to the name 'dream amethyst'.
The frosted beads have a slightly smoky appearance and a matte finish.
Handmade in my home workshop here in beautiful Devon in the UK, this would make a lovely gift for a birthday, anniversary or as a treat for yourself.
A pretty, one of a kind necklace measuring approximately 17 inches (43.5cm).
