Drawing inspiration from vintage sewing patterns, mid-century design, Regency novels and nostalgic yearnings, I create things that remind us we can live an analogue life: one with a favourite book, a cup of tea and a cosy corner. An analogue life in which getting dressed up to go out dancing without filming it for social media is more fun. An analogue life in which it is an acceptable use of time to sit and watch that old black and white film whilst creating something by hand.
I love creating items that will hopefully become a beloved piece and be passed down as a family heirloom.

I am selling my acrylic yarn stash, and some of my polyester fabrics as although I personally don't want to use these fibres anymore, I know that many people do, to create beautiful, useful items that will have a long and happy life.
Everybody needs a special place to put their cup down and these are extra special with a wool back, light padding and a darling ruffle around the edge for that gentle touch of cosy nostalgia!

Protect your surfaces and add a touch of cosy nostalgia to your life with this pure-wool backed coaster. Show your love the heart-shaped way! Large enough for a tea-pot, cup or glass of a favourite beverage. A touch of whimsy has been created with the addition of a ruffles and ribbons. The perfect resting place for your morning coffee, afternoon tea or evening glass of wine.
A layer of polyester wadding has been sandwiched between patchwork pieces and cotton or polyester-cotton, then backed by the wool. This gives the coasters a substantial feel and ability to soak up any little drips of tea or condensation from your glass or cup.
Handwash or machine wool wash only.
Can be ironed.
The patchwork was created from various cotton, polyester-cotton, linen blend and wool blend fabrics from other projects. Trims are polyester - some with elastane. The bows are polyester.
Quilting/top stitching uses plain polyester thread or variegated cotton thread. Ruffles on the ribbons, and the stretchy lace fabrics, were created with my 1954 Singer sewing machine and an enormous ruffling foot accessory!
