Next Craft fair 18/7/2027 at Hymers Sports field in Hull with 'A Little Pot of Yarn' Crochet creations by Rachel.
My shop will look a little empty for a week or so before a restock and I will be closed for orders from the 17th -20th July. Thanks for looking!
Drawing inspiration from vintage sewing patterns, mid-century design, Regency novels and nostalgic yearnings, I create things that remind us we can live an analogue life: one with a favourite book, a cup of tea and a cosy corner. An analogue life in which getting dressed up to go out dancing without filming it for social media is more fun. An analogue life in which it is an acceptable use of time to sit and watch that old black and white film whilst creating something by hand. I love creating items that will hopefully become a beloved piece and be passed down as a family heirloom using reclaimed, new, oeko-tex and organic fabrics and accessories in the most sustainable way possible.
I do hope you find something to love in my shop, thank you for visiting and if you have any questions about my makes, please message me!
I am selling my acrylic yarn stash, as although I personally don't want to use these fibres anymore, I know that many people do, to create beautiful, useful items that will have a long and happy life.
A book that was falling apart, a love of Jane Austen and Regency costume books and an urge to try free motion embroidery again! I wanted to create something that would serve more than one purpose and this card can be used as a piece of art when the event is over. I have many pages and lots of pretty paper so variations of this piece will hopefully soon be available!

Full description
This card would be ideal for a lover of classic literature, historical dramas, Regency dancing, costume, or a Jane Austen fan.
This iconic view of a Regency lady walking in a bonnet with shawl has been free-motion embroidered onto a piece of fabric which in turn has been attached to a page from Jane Austen's book, Emma. (One of my books which the pages kept falling out of!) The beige tones of the roses on the backing sheet make a lovely neutral background to this picture.
When the event is over the piece can be framed and used as a piece of art to display, adding a touch of elegance to your space.
The blank card measures 13x17cm and comes complete with an envelope.
For its protection your card will be posted in a plastic sleeve and a card-backed envelope. Please re-use or recycle the plastic and re-use the envelope.
