Bucket bag or handbag upcycled from vintage embroidered daffodils table linen

This pretty bucket bag or handbag was once a vintage table cloth, hand embroidered with large golden daffodils. Although it had seen one too many tea parties, I could use parts of this tablecloth to make a pretty bucket bag. On the front, a host of golden daffodils sweep over the surface ending in a tiny trail across the back. The handles are long enough to fit snuggly around your hands, and it is large enough to hold your essentials at a wedding or garden party. It has a decorative covered button and loop fastening, as well as a magnetic snap on the inside facing. It is like an extra pocket, but with its own handles! Its a great Springtime handbag for yourself, or as a present for a friend. This is a slightly bigger bucket bag than my usual ones. The linen has been stitched onto canvas to strengthen it, but it is still a soft little bag. It has a pair of handles, each 36 cm long. It measures approx 30 cm by 32 cm with boxed in ends to make it a little more roomy. It is lined with a designer remnant cotton, and is finished off inside with an embroidered facing for a neat finish. It fastens with a magnetic clasp, as well as with a decorative covered button and loop closure. It is finished off with my own embroidered name tag. Please hand wash or use a short delicate machine wash, and leave to dry naturally.
