Drawing inspiration from vintage sewing patterns, mid-century design, Regency novels and nostalgic yearnings, I create things that remind us we can live an analogue life: one with a favourite book, a cup of tea and a cosy corner. An analogue life in which getting dressed up to go out dancing without filming it for social media is more fun. An analogue life in which it is an acceptable use of time to sit and watch that old black and white film whilst creating something by hand. I love creating items that will hopefully become a beloved piece and be passed down as a family heirloom using reclaimed, new, oeko-tex and organic fabrics and accessories in the most sustainable way possible.

I am selling my acrylic yarn stash, as although I personally don't want to use these fibres anymore, I know that many people do, to create beautiful, useful items that will have a long and happy life.
Designed to represent a mood-board, these cards have been created by combining prints of my own sewing patterns with themed ink stamps, vintage buttons, various fabrics, and, coloured thread and papers to match.
Accessories have been glued onto the card with crafter’s pick glue and should stay stuck unless they are picked at.
Whether it’s for a birthday, get well soon, happy retirement or a thank you, this card will suit almost any occasion and has been left blank for your own message. The back has my makers label stuck on and if I knew the date of the pattern, this has been pencilled in at the top. Comes with a plain white envelope.
If you know someone who loves to sew, enjoys crafting or watching the sewing bee, or you know someone who collects vintage ephemera, then this is the perfect greeting card to send them.

Full description
A scan of an original vintage, Simplicity 8330, sewing pattern from 1969 has been used to create the theme for this 7" x 5" card, which has been embellished with fabric scraps, buttons and embroidery thread in blues and creams. Marks on the pattern are from the original picture. Ideal for the creative person in your life! Can be used as a birthday card, get well, or retirement card (left blank for your own message) or if you put it in a box frame, can be used as wall art!
Each card is a one of a kind and will not be created again.
Keep out of reach of children as buttons are a choking hazard.
Your card and envelope will be sent to you in a card backed envelope, if you would like the extra security of a clear plastic protective sleeve around your purchase at no extra cost, please let me know.
