Silver Texture Wave Bangle
Suna May Jewellery£92.00
I have been creating bespoke pieces of jewellery since I first graduated from Loughborough College of Art and Design in 1996 with a BA Hons in Jewellery and Silversmithing. Within my jewellery, I am greatly inspired by the natural world and the different colours and textures you can find within it. If you’d like to learn more about my process, then please feel free to get in touch today. I will be happy to help however I can.
My Inspiration
Growing up in a small town in Wiltshire, I spent my childhood surrounded by the beautiful English countryside. Playing in the fields and exploring the local woods during my summer holidays, this is where my love for nature started. Now, I walk through the forest most days with my dogs, constantly inspired by the dapple of the leaves, the texture of the bark on the trees. I love to photograph the forest, looking closely at the shapes and textures that each season brings.
My Experience
While attaining my degree, I also entered the Goldsmith Hall London Best Young Silversmith competition and won first place. The design can still be viewed at Loughborough Museum. I have also been fortunate enough to have my work exhibited at the New Designers Exhibition Design Centre in Islington. And during my professional career, I have worked alongside renowned jewellery maker Esther Eyre and Marianne Forrest, clock maker.
