Sterling Silver Drop Earrings with Iolite Gemstone Setting

These lovely handmade sterling silver drop earrings have each been set with a blue faceted Iolite gemstone. The earrings have been hammer textured to maximize light reflection and movement and the Iolite stones are faceted to sparkle and catch the eye. The stones are a lovely violet blue in colour and the name comes from the Greek word Ios meaning violet. Some believe that the gem helps sleep and to aid creativity. It is often sited as the gemstone to mark a 21st Wedding Anniversary. The earrings are an elegant long length and are suspended from handmade Sterling Silver ear wires. The earrings would make a perfect gift, perhaps and anniversary gift or a treat for yourself. They are perfect for daytime or evening wear. Dimensions: From the top of the earwire to the base of the earring: 4.4cm Width at the widest point: 6mm Size of the Iolite gemstones: Approx 4mm in diameter. Hallmarking: As these earrings are below the weight of 7.78g, they do not require hallmarking and have not been hallmarked. Recycled Silver: As with all my designs, I have used 100% recycled sterling silver to create these earrings. Packaging: The earrings will arrive in a jewellery box made from recycled card and will rest on an anti tarnish foam insert. Care of your jewellery: Sterling Silver will tarnish over time and with wear and exposure to the elements.
