Full description
A greetings card based on one of our 'Curious Creatures of Bracklesham Bay' series of images, on card and photogrpahic paper. The series was inspired by the shapes that the groynes had been transformed into by the actions over many years of the waves and the tides.
Groynes, for those unfamiliar with them, are wooden structures installed on beaches to counter the effects of those waves and tides in causing beach erosion. And it is that very activity that erodes the groynes instead, creating captivating and intriguing shapes.
The stones and pebbles lodged in the groyne seemed to us like 'buttons' down its front and all it needed was a 'peak' added to its 'cap' to make a perfect Railway Guard, or some other Official.
The card is 13.5cm square, and will be sent by second-class post
The item code is 50-Hatman/Po
