I've made these lovely traditional style Christmas robin decorations to my own unique design making them wonderful original gifts to give at Christmas.
The star shape is made using clear glass which I've decorated with gold flakes to add a bit of sparkle. I've nestled the robin on top of pine cones, ivy leaves and holly leaves and decorated the edge with red, green and white glass to set off the image.
The colour combination has a homely traditional feel and would look lovely hanging on a Christmas tree or elsewhere in the home as an individual decoration. As I've kept the background glass clear you are able to see the decoration from both sides.
They have been fired twice in my kiln, first to attach the gold flakes then to fuse the robin, leaves and edge decoration on top. Each firing takes approx. 8.5 hours then I leave them in the kiln for a further c.10hours to cool naturally before removing them.
The star measures c.9cm across at the widest point and has a vibrant red organza ribbon to hang it by.
They are sold individually and you will receive one of those shown in the photos, in a little box for safe keeping.
All of my decorations are handmade in small batches so you can be assured that you are buying a unique gift as no two will be exactly the same.
