Lapis Lazuli stretch bracelet with enamel whale tail charm.
The Lapis Lazuli heishi beads measure 6x4mm and each bead is separated by a tiny 2mm faceted Pyrite bead which add a subtle glint.
I have added an 18x15mm whale tail charm of pearly, aqua enamel on a gold tone metal base.
The Lapis Lazuli discs have a slightly rustic appearance and varying colours of denim blue flecked with Pyrite.
It is the most popular alternative to Sapphire for the September and Virgo birthstone
Lapis Lazuli is an ancient rock, an aggregate of the minerals lazurite, calcite and pyrite.
It has been prized by human civilisations for over 6000 years.
Cleopatra famously used ground Lapis for her eye make-up and Renaissance artists made a costly pigment from it called 'ultramarine'.
It is thought to promote self awareness, clarity of mind and inner peace.
Handmade in my home workshop here in beautiful Devon in the UK, this would make a lovely gift for a birthday or anniversary, or as a summer treat for yourself.
This stretch bracelet measures approximately 7 inches (17.5cm)
