Caught in a moment of movement, a horse looks back over its shoulder, its body filled with echoes of ancient ornament.
The image was created by embroidering directly into a collagraph printing plate, combining the tactile qualities of stitch with the traditional process of intaglio printmaking. Each print is hand printed using intaglio inks onto Somerset Velvet paper.
This is a small edition, and because each print is individually hand printed, every one has its own subtle variations and character. A unique piece of original printmaking.

Artwork has ragged edges, so can be framed with or without a mount. This print is number 5 in an edition of 5. Artwork will be sent via special delivery.
