Full description
This is a medium sized tote bag in a 100% cotton fabric which has been upcycled and given a new lease of life. The fabric has a lovely, soft feel.
The outer fabric is a pretty floral design with butterflies and birds. Both sides of the bag are the same. The inner lining is plain blue. There are 3 pockets inside the bag - one side has a small pocket with a 'Softly Sewn' label, the other side has a larger pocket which is divided in 2 and is the perfect size for a mobile phone. The pockets are made from the outer fabric to contrast with the lining. The pockets are double stitched onto the lining and the internal seams are all French seams to give them strength and keep the inside neat and tidy.
Perfect for using as a craft bag, carrying books, shopping and days out. Being so soft the tote bag easily folds to fit inside a handbag.
The bag measures approximately 44cm wide and 34cm high. The handles are approximately 60cm long and are long enough to carry on the shoulder. The base is approximately 10cm wide. The bag has been weight tested with 2.8kg for 30 mins.
The fabric has been prewashed before being made into the tote bag and can be machine washed at 30°C with similar colours.
All Softly Sewn items are made in a pet free, smoke free home. As I use pre-loved and upcycled fabrics some materials may have had a previous life.
Each tote bag is cut and sewn by hand, minor 1-2mm alignment variations celebrate the handmade touch.
