Full description
This necklace features a genuine piece of honey coloured "multi" sea glass that was beach combed from the shores of Seaham.
If you haven't come across Seaham glass before, it has a really lovely history. Over a hundred years ago, local Victorian glass factories discarded their waste into the North Sea. Since then, the waves have spent decades tumbling and smoothing the glass into these frosted treasures. Because this piece has distinct layers of different colours fused together, it's a tiny bit of history that completely unique-no one else will ever have one exactly like it.
I've set it by hand in a solid sterling silver heart shape, its claw set keeping the design clean and simple so the glass itself does all the talking. It has an open back to let the light shine through and show of the beautiful sea glass.
A few quick details:
It comes on a sterling silver chain that is 20 inch long.
I'll send it to you wrapped up in a nice little gift box, with my meltandtide logo on, either way it's ready to wrap if it's a present, or just a nice treat for yourself.
Postage is completely free, and I'll send it via Royal Mail Tracked 48 so you can keep an eye on its journey.
