Driftwood Sculpture ROUGH OVER SMOOTH is a one-of-a-kind handmade coastal sculpture created from genuine sea-weathered driftwood collected along the South Devon coastline. The dramatic, layered upper form evokes a breaking ocean wave, contrasting beautifully with the smooth natural driftwood base.
This highly individual driftwood sculpture with a smooth wooden base, has been lovingly handmade and individually crafted by Steve Hutchins of Grove House Art.
A distinctive piece of natural wood art ideal as a table centrepiece, sideboard display or statement piece on a shelf. It would also complement coastal, contemporary, rustic or nature-inspired interiors.
The driftwood is connected with a fixed vertical metal rod, so the entire driftwood sculpture can be turned to different positions in your room, to display different views and visions to suit your own mood, style and personal decor.
Both the driftwood pieces are completely natural and have not been altered in anyway. They have simply been air dried and gently brushed to remove any excess debris, with the organic natural shaped features enhanced by the constant action of the sea.
It is supplied with self adhesive cushion pads attached to the driftwood base, to protect the surface of where you wish to position and display the sculpture in your home.
Perfect as a stand alone beautiful natural sculptural piece, as well as any beach styled nautical themed decoration or visual display project.
