Full description
Each design features individually die-cut leaves, created from my own hand-printed gel print sheets using layers of acrylic paint in a rich, earthy palette of russet, warm brown and muted botanical tones. The layered printing process creates subtle variations in colour, texture and pattern, giving each leaf its own distinctive character.
Rather than using a single printed sheet, I carefully cut each leaf from these unique painted surfaces and arrange them by hand on high-quality cartridge paper. The result is reminiscent of a treasured page from a collected nature journal - a simple study of leaves brought together through colour, texture and shape.
Although the collection shares a consistent palette, composition and overall design, every card is unique. The unpredictable nature of gel printing means that no two painted sheets are ever quite alike, so each individual leaf reveals its own combination of tonal layers and painterly marks.
The finished artwork is carefully mounted onto quality card stock to complete the design, and each card is supplied with an envelope.
