Full description
I made a large series of black and white images to accompany my book, 'Bleak Hill - improvisations on Llym Awel'. I originally worked in a simple drawing app on my iPad to turn into lino relief prints. In the end, I decided to stick with the original digital drawings.
The idea was to create simple, evocative images that suggest the ancient landscape of Wales. In the same way that the original Welsh poem uses repeated images and phrases, the illustrations were created as a sequence of slow changing pictures, like a really slow movie.
Printed on sturdy A4 Hahnemuhle 308gsm photo rag.
signed and titled.
With protective cellophane sleeve and sent in post tube.
