Full description
This fused glass poppy picture tile attached to a tealight holder depicts vibrant poppies and summer flowers with little bees attracted by the flowers.
The stunning, red poppies have been made using a combination of small pieces of red, glass frit with black frit sprinkled on top.
The stems are made using shades of green glass and the smaller flowers are made using pre-formed flower heads. The little bees I've made by heating and twisting a black and a yellow glass cane together.
I have created the picture on a clear glass background to enable the natural light to highlight the image during the day and the tealight makes it shine when lit.
The clear glass tealight holder gives the tile a stable base and doesn't necessarily need to be used with a tealight as the picture has a vibrant look on it's own.
The tile measures c.13cm tall x 10cm wide and 5.5cm deep with the tealight holder.
A sentinel tealight will be included.
Although I create various flower meadow tealight holders in small batches, each one is truly unique as I use different flowers, stems and colours to create the meadows and being handmade each large flower head will vary slightly in size and shape. The bees are also true one-offs!
