Full description
A beautiful handmade wooden inlay picture based on a Lily.
The picture is made up from a variety of veneer scraps, including green Harewood, Cherry, Tulipwood and Oak from my wood box. Showing off the wonderful browns and oranges of Natures natural products.
The intricate inlay work is finished to a high standard using 400grit sandpaper and 0000 steel wool to leave a smooth finish. The last stages of the marquetry include three layers of Danish oil, then polished with a wood wax polish to promote the natural wood grain and patina.
Placed in a frame with glass to protect the wood, but if removed please do not use furniture polish, a wood wax polish is recommended.
The finished size including the frame is 21cm x 16cm.
