Full description
I fell in love with this delicate vintage cup and saucer and just had to make it into one of my signature pin cushion sewing sets. The Teacup holds the main pin cushion and on this occasion I have left the saucer bare as it is so pretty as it is and you can place your own bits and pieces here. The fabric used is also a vintage find from the 70's (I even was sent the original fabric receipt - very exciting). I couldn't resist including a lace butterfly in the decoration. This little set includes a round of glass headed pins, a tape measure and a small pair of embroidery scissors, keeping everything to hand.
I also use these to sit on the table when I am pinning my pattern to fabric keeping everything handy and it helps to weight the fabric to stop it from moving.
All my Tea Cup pin cushions are made from 'rummaged' vintage teacup and saucer collections (the rummage is half the fun of making) - this is a one off I found in a lovely antique centre in Lincolnshire, it is so pretty, I couldn't resist!
