Hi, a warm welcome to the Dragon Art Glass shop on Folksy. I'm Andrea, a full time glass addict (oops, artist!) living and working in the valleys of South Wales. I've had a little shop here on Folksy since about 2016, but can also often be found at local craft markets and in my studio in Senghenydd.
I always aim to send out orders as quickly as possible, (often within a day), but please be aware that I post only via Royal Mail.
To make things easier for you, I can gladly gift wrap any presents, add a hand-written note and send them directly to the recipient at no extra charge – just leave me a note and details when you checkout.

Full description
This is a cute, four inch diameter octagonal fused glass bowl. It is white, and fused safely between the two glass layers are a layer of small silver coloured, glittery mica flakes.
This lovely little bowl would make a nice thoughtful teacher appreciation gift, as it has multiple uses. It could be a trinket, key or bonbon dish or could even be useful as a sauce dipping bowl (think sushi dipping or bread in oil and balsamic vinegar dipping).
Each of my bowls, plates and dishes go through at least two kiln processes, spending almost 24 hours in the kiln each time. Firstly the layers of glass are fused together at a temperature of almost 800 degrees C to form a flat plate. Once the kiln has cooled, the flat piece of glass is then put back into the kiln for a second firing at a different temperature, in a mold that will allow it to slump to the required shape or form.
