Hi, a warm welcome to the Dragon Art Glass shop on Folksy. I'm Andrea, a full time glass addict (oops, artist!) living and working in the valleys of South Wales. I've had a little shop here on Folksy since about 2016, but can also often be found at local craft markets and in my studio in Senghenydd.
I always aim to send out orders as quickly as possible, (often within a day), but please be aware that I post only via Royal Mail.
To make things easier for you, I can gladly gift wrap any presents, add a hand-written note and send them directly to the recipient at no extra charge – just leave me a note and details when you checkout.
If you have any questions, then feel free to reach out and get in touch. Thank you for looking (and if you should decide to purchase , a huge thank you!)
This was made as a choice for a commission piece. I made several of the same color, but different shapes and sizes to enable me to have a few left over to stock my online outlets.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.
Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.
Please note that if your order is being posted outside mainland UK, you (or the recipient) may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee. The seller is not responsible for any charges or fees that may incur.
Full description
This is a lovely plain opaque red glass dish
This dish is about 13cm x 13cm, and is 6mm in thickness. Two opposite sides are about 2.5 cm high. It would make a good sushi dish, trinket dish, candle dish or bonbon/sweet dish, but has many other uses.
The glass has been hand cut from sheets of special fusing glass, and placed in layers in my kiln to fuse together and anneal. All bowls and dishes are firstly fused flat, a process that takes about 24 hours overall in the kiln, then once cooled placed into the kiln at a lower temperature to allow it to slump into shape in the mold.
The dish once shaped is cleaned, and small silicon bumps glued onto the base to allow it to sit nicely on any surface.
