A gorgeous slow stitching craft kit full of beautiful antique, vintage and pre-loved textiles and trims, inspired by a delicate embroidered floral textile and vintage lace. In soft pastel colours, the wide selection of textures in this bundle is ideal for a vintage-style slow stitching project, or textile art. The kit features a fragment of a pillowcase with embroidered flowers and leaves in blues, peachy pinks and creams, with a little scalloped border. I've offset this with some beautiful vintage lace in creams and soft browns, with salvaged and reclaimed fabrics, trims and yarns to create a gentle Edwardian look and feel. Your box will include a piece of calico fabric for a foundation to sew into, needles and pins, and my introduction to slow stitching leaflet and stitching guide (you can swap this for an emailed copy plus extra textiles - see options). My collection started as a child with an old button box and some vintage embroidery threads given to me by my late grandmother. Over the years I have collected many vintage and retro items (note I only cut into pieces that are too damaged or marked to be used in their original form) as well as a whole sewing room full of bits and pieces. I decided I would use some of this collection to create curated boxes for the newly re-discovered art of slow stitching. Get yourself a cup of tea, and relax with a needle and thread.

Recommended for adults and children over 14. Warning: Contains pins and needle with a functional sharp point. Keep out of reach of small children. Allergen: wool contains lanolin, vintage fabrics have unknown materials and dyes.
