The Sun Owl is a one-of-a-kind wearable artwork from my Curious Adornments collection of handmade folk-art talismans.
Inspired by folklore, nature and transformation, this striking owl necklace has been created using hand-dyed fabric, hand embroidery, painted details, beads and embellishments, layered onto a fabric base and finished with a soft felt backing for comfort when worn.
Unlike the owls of moonlit folklore, the Sun Owl belongs to the dawn. Glowing with vibrant yellows, oranges and blues, it symbolises wisdom, intuition, creativity and new beginnings.
Designed and handmade by textile artist Leah Mason in her Leicestershire garden studio, each Curious Adornment is individually crafted and completely unique.
