Hand Knitted and Felted Scots Bonnet in Grey, Pure Shetland Wool
Fits Head circumference 56-61cms (22-24")
The bonnet on the outer edge is 31cms (12") Wide and 31cms (12")
Long
The Scots bonnet was first mentioned in the 16th Century then again after the Battle of Culloden in 1746 after which many Scots emigrated to America then again after the Highland clearances from 1750 and 1760 - the Scots Bonnet made its way to the USA too!
This item is pure wool so handwash only in warm. soapy water, rinse in warm, clear water then dry flat - full laundry instructions are enclosed with the purchase
Wool is a natural material and allows the wearer to be warm without sweating
Wool is naturally dirt and odour repellent , so if your bonnet just needs freshened up, hand outside for a time and bring it back in fresh
