Moss Agate is a variety of Chalcedony, a mineral of the Quartz family.
It is generally included in the Agate family despite not being banded like most Agates.
Moss Agate is a beautiful sage-green stone, translucent or milky, with inclusions of iron or manganese, that look like tendrils of lichen or moss, giving the green colour and the name.

A beautiful Moss Agate bracelet featuring a 12mm flat Moss Agate coin bead, flanked by Austrian 4mm 'olivine' crystal bicones highlighted with 2mm gold vermeil, and 4mm round Moss Agate beads.
The coin is semi-opaque, with a milky base and the typical moss-like filaments that give this gorgeous stone its name.
The 4mm polished round beads show a mix of all the attributes of Moss Agate, semi-translucent to semi-opaque, marbled appearance ranging in hue from light sage to deep forest green, and varying degrees of dendritic inclusions.
No two stones are the same, making this a truly unique piece of jewellery.
Austrian 'olivine' crystal bicones and tiny gold vermeil spacer beads add a glint of sparkle and shine.
Moss Agate is believed to enhance tranquility and emotional balance.
Handmade in my home workshop here in beautiful Devon in the UK, this would make a lovely gift for a best friend, birthday, anniversary or a treat for yourself.
This pretty stretch bracelet measures approximately 6.75 inches (17cm), perfect for a 6 inch (15cm) wrist.
