These 'peridot' Austrian crystal butterflies are a lovely, sparkly spring green colour.
In ancient times, butterflies were believed to be messengers from the spirit world and were used as a symbol of long life, rebirth and transition.
The butterfly is commonly used in Chinese symbolism to represent joy and warmth.
The Romans associated butterflies with wedded bliss, and in Japan two butterflies indicate that a marriage is blessed.
In Christianity they are a symbol of resurrection, which would make them a good choice as an Easter gift.

Bright and sparkly earrings featuring a 10mm apple green quality Austrian crystal butterfly in the colour 'peridot'.
The butterflies are bracketed by 2mm gold vermeil beads and a pair of 4mm Austrian crystal bicones in the colour 'jonquil', and set above a 6mm Ambronite bead.
Ambronite is the name for pale lemon Calcite.
The butterfly is a symbol of transformation, rebirth, joy and long life.
In Christianity it is a symbol of resurrection, so this would also make a lovely Easter gift as an alternative to chocolate.
The beads are threaded onto gold vermeil headpins and hung from gold vermeil ear-wires.
Gold vermeil is sterling silver that has been plated with 18k gold, and the wires are stamped '925'.
Handmade in my home workshop here in beautiful Devon in the UK, these would make a lovely gift for a best friend, birthday, anniversary, Easter or a treat for yourself.
These pretty earrings measure approximately 1 inch (2.5cm), excluding the ear-wires.
Your earrings will be wrapped in tissue and presented in an organza gift bag.
