Muker in Swaledale is one of my favourite places to visit. I will admit that it is my favourite Dale to walk in, which is saying something as they are all beautiful!

Full description
A limited edition of 50, the artwork was scanned and printed by me onto an A4 sheet of Bockingford Watercolour Inkjet paper using light-fast pigment inks, it will fit in any standard A4 picture frame. Approximate image size is: 210 x 155mm (8" x 6.25").
I absolutely adore Swaledale and this gate is one of many that can be found along the path that threads through the meadows. Can you tell that I also love the dry stone walls?! The whole area is incredibly beautiful and well worth a hike at any time of year.
This image was painted using reference sketches that were created in-situ and photographs taken over several visits.
